My work

I combine Digital Illustration with my expertise in Science to create engaging scientific visuals. I create illustrations to depict cellular processes, as well as protein and molecular structures, to facilitate science visualization and scientific understanding in general. I believe that scientific knowledge is more useful when is transmitted. By translating scientific research to engaging visuals, I can help bridging the gap by making science more approachable.

I have a PhD in Life Sciences with emphasis in Microbiology and Fungal cell biology. During my PhD I worked with proteins from the cell wall of filamentous fungi. Recently, I just transitioned from my postdoctoral training to the position of Senior Program Manager for Outreach at UMASS medical school, in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biotechnology Department. I am looking forward to creating a lot of amazing artwork in this new position and help increase the visibility of my institution. My growing portfolio is still designed as a visual celebration of science.
